A New Year brings New Hope

So sorry that it has been a long time. I have been up to some good and some mediocre. I had a most relaxing and enjoyable time greeting the New Year in Auckland with the Bartles. I got to feel included in the family as I jumped off the Wharf with the grandchildren. And as we rang in the New Year I knew that it would be just hours until my grandparents arrived. My grandparents have settled into their little flat and Grampa took his first time behind the wheel. We are preparing for a fence building session on Saturday and a celebration  of the New Hope that this could bring to the community on the following Saturday.

This is a year of hope. It will be the new beginning for Pukete Community Church in Hamilton. The events and upgrades to the church property will bring hope to the congregation as well as a new life for the church within the community. The problem we have been facing is the lack of awareness of our existence in the community. Our surrounding communities do not know that we exist. So we are letting God use us to change that predicament.

God is so good, He has given us so many examples of new life and new hope: babies, flowers blooming, children learning to walk, plants shooting up from seeds, and rain showers washing away the old grime of yesterday leaving only the new hope for tomorrow. That is where we are now, looking into the bloom of Pukete Community Church praying for showers of blessings.
